PD workshop focusing on evaluating the impact of computing innovations.

CSTA-LI and CSTA-MH are organizing a PD focusing on evaluating the development and impact of computing innovations.  Specifically, this addresses the AP CS Principles  "Passage-Based Questions".  We will be deep-diving into the AP Computational Thinking Practices, evaluating hypothetical computing innovation scenarios as a context for students to practice applying them, and collaboratively developing activity prompts to help build our students’ skills.  The PD will be in 2 parts totaling 3 hours and will be offered as an online collaborative workshop.

AP CSP is a course that many schools adopt, and it is one that very closely parallels the NYS 9-12 CS&DF Learning Standards.  This workshop is also aligned with the CSTA Standards for CS Teachers (1f, 4, and 5a) , and the CSTA K-12 Standards for 9-12 (3A &3B)

Workshop Dates & Times:
Thursday March 9th, 5:30 - 7:30 Eastern Time - NY
Thursday March 23rd, 5:30 - 6:30 Eastern Time (DST) - NY
